Booking Requests & Payment
We require a valid payment method on file when submitting your booking request. For most shoots, no upfront deposit is necessary, and your card won’t be charged until your final deliverables are ready. Rest assured, your payment info is securely stored with Square, and you can request deletion of this information after your project is complete.
For certain commercial projects or weddings, a deposit may be required. In such cases, the deposit amount will be discussed and confirmed with you before booking.
Please note: Payment for our services is not contingent on whether you “like” the final deliverables. We strive to exceed expectations, but creativity is subjective, and payment is required upon completion of the shoot and delivery of the final images or video.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that plans change, and we do our best to accommodate. However, to protect the time we set aside for your project, we require the following:
Cancellations: If you need to cancel your booking, you must do so at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged in full, as if the session had taken place.
Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule within the 24-hour window, a $50 rescheduling fee will apply. To avoid these fees, please make any changes more than 24 hours before the shoot.
Weather-related cancellations: These are handled at our discretion. If conditions are severe (such as heavy rain, snow, or high winds), we’ll reschedule with no fees. Mild rain or overcast days, however, do not typically qualify for weather-related rescheduling, as these conditions often provide ideal lighting for outdoor photography.
Extensions & Additional Time
Need more time during your shoot? We’re happy to accommodate if our photographer’s schedule allows. The rate for extensions is $75 per additional 15 minutes, billed from the moment the extension begins. It’s always more cost-effective to book extra time in advance, so if you anticipate needing additional coverage, let us know before your shoot.
Deliverables & Access to Files
Once your shoot is complete, you’ll receive all the good photos from your session, including color grading and basic post-processing. We don’t charge extra per image—you’ll get everything that meets our quality standards.
Turnaround Time: Photos are typically delivered within two business days, and videos usually take about a week. Branding projects can take longer, depending on the scope of work.
Raw Files: If you need raw files, just let us know in the booking notes. For commercial shoots, we’ll discuss raw file usage before proceeding.
Access to Deliverables: After your final images or video are sent, you’ll have seven days to download your files. After that, we may archive or delete them at our discretion. If you’d like us to store your files longer, we offer a Digital Archive Service for an annual fee, ensuring your content is backed up on our private cloud server.
Usage Rights & Copyright
In the U.S., the copyright of an image generally belongs to the photographer unless otherwise agreed upon. We’re happy to transfer usage rights or copyright ownership for an additional fee based on your needs.
For commercial shoots, first-party web usage and social media are included in your rate. This means you can use the deliverables on your own website and social media platforms without additional fees.
However, third-party usage (e.g., licensing the images to another business) and other media such as billboards, in-store displays, print advertising, and broadcast must be negotiated prior to usage. These media typically require additional fees, and we’ll need to discuss specific usage terms before proceeding with your project.
Social Media & Portfolio Use
We reserve the right to use images from your shoot for portfolio and social media purposes. However, you can request that we refrain from doing so during booking if you prefer. For commercial projects, usage terms will be discussed prior to the shoot, especially if the images will be used for print or advertising.
Weddings & Event Pricing
Weddings and events often require more detailed logistics, more time on-site, and additional post-production work. Because of the complexity involved, we charge more for these services.
Weddings: Pricing depends on the size and duration of the event. For small elopements (fewer than 25 guests), you can book at our standard rates. For larger events, we’ll discuss pricing based on your specific needs.
Event Shoots: Events are typically billed by the hour, and we offer flexible pricing depending on the type of event and coverage required.
Satisfaction & Revisions
We aim to deliver work that meets or exceeds your expectations. However, if there are any issues with the final deliverables, please contact us as soon as possible. We offer revisions to ensure your satisfaction. That said, revisions are subject to our discretion, and payment is not dependent on subjective creative preferences.
