A new park built on an old runway, and a meadow that comes back orange every year.
Mueller Lake Park is the green middle of the Mueller development on the old airport site — a lake, a broad lawn, a red-columned pavilion, and beyond it the butterfly garden and wildflower meadow that turns orange and gold in early summer. It is flat, it is walkable, and the meadow gives you waist-high color without driving out of town for it.
Flat paths the whole way. The easiest park on this list to shoot in late pregnancy.

Late spring into early summer the butterfly garden goes over entirely to orange, and it comes up past the knee. Six weeks, roughly. Book inside them and the background needs no help at all.
One flower picked from the edge of the path. The detail frames are the ones people actually print.
We went back for the newborn pictures and the whole meadow had gone green again. I am glad we did not wait.
