Olson Meadows Park
Limestone, meadow and pines, and almost nobody in it.
9 frames·Olson Meadows Park, north Austin metro
Olson Meadows is a neighbourhood park on the north side — outcrops of limestone to sit on, cut meadow running back to a line of pines, and enough shade to shoot through the middle of the day. It has no landmark and does not need one: it is the park you book when you want the family in the frame and the place quietly behind them.

Limestone comes up out of the grass in slabs you can seat a whole family on. No benches to work around, no bins in the background, and it holds warm light long after the sun is off the meadow.
