Pease Park

One long park along a creek, and it will do almost anything you ask of it.

12 frames·Pease Park, Shoal Creek, Austin

Pease Park runs north along Shoal Creek through the middle of Austin — one of the oldest parks in the city, and one of the few that gives you woods, open lawn, a creek and modern architecture inside a ten-minute walk. That range is why it turns up under every kind of session we shoot: elopements, headshots, editorial, dogs, and a family reunion on the grass.

Booking

Central, free and open. Park on the street and walk in.

Four locations inside one park.

Creek, woods, open lawn and the pavilion at the south end. You can change the entire look of a session by walking two hundred yards, which is not true of most parks this central.

I sent the pictures to my sister and she asked which two places we went to. It was one park and about twenty minutes.
Client · Pease Park session
A German shepherd sitting alert on a rock in dappled woodland.

It is a working neighbourhood park too. Half of what happens here on a Saturday has four legs.

Three generations on the lawn. The park holds a group this size without anybody having to squeeze in.
