Round Rock Chisholm Trail Crossing
A low falls on Brushy Creek, and the whole family standing on it.
Chisholm Trail Crossing sits on Brushy Creek in Round Rock, where the water comes over a broad low ledge and you can walk out onto the rock in front of it. In autumn the trees on the far bank turn and the whole background goes gold. It is the most reliable extended-family location on the north side, because everyone can stand on the same shelf and nobody has to climb anything.
Late October into November for the color. The rock is flat and dry enough for grandparents.
