UT Austin
Forty thousand students, about six good backdrops.
The Tower, the fountain, the green doors, the mall looking south to the Capitol. Everyone graduating shoots the same handful of spots, so the difference is knowing the hour each one works, which are closed for events, and how to get a clean frame on a campus that is never empty. Grad portraits, department events, banquets and faculty headshots.
The campus is never empty.
Getting a clean frame at the Tower is a matter of timing and patience, not luck. We go early, we wait for the gap, and we don't rush a nervous graduate through it.

The Tower, the fountain, the doors
Six backdrops, used by everyone, every May. Hour of day and where you stand are the entire difference between a snapshot and a portrait.

Everyone's Tower photo looks the same. Ours don't, and we were only out there forty minutes.
More than graduation
Departments, labs, banquets and honor societies book all year. The campus work is not only a fortnight in May.
