Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge

The best skyline view in Austin is on a bridge with no cars on it.

9 frames·James D. Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge, Austin

The Pfluger bridge carries walkers and bikes across Lady Bird Lake beside Lamar, and from the middle of the span downtown lines up cleanly across the water. The deck is wide, the railing is low enough to shoot over, and there is no traffic to wait on — which is why so many proposals end up somewhere on it.
